Rayman Origins - Review

I’m not sure the newest generation of gamer could even identify 5 games that belong in the “platformer” genre.  Most popular in the SNES era, platformers have all but disappeared aside from handheld and downloadable titles (and some Wii titles, I guess).  That being said, does Rayman Origins deserve to be a full-fledged feature title?

Bioshock Infinite - Review


 
Over two years of hype and anticipation.  The wait for Bioshock Infinite was killing me…but I was willing to be patient if it meant I was going to get an immersive, story-driven experience.  It’s literally been years since I looked forward to a title in the way I waited for this one.  Not only did the release seem to take forever, the game was delayed not once, but twice!  I thought that meant Irrational was ensuring the game was quality…was I right?

Lords of Shadows takes the Castlevania franchise in a different direction, mixing series staples with elements borrowed from other games.  This departure might make hardcore fans scorn in dismay, yet at the same time, attract a new following.  Regardless, let’s see if it’s worth your time and money.

Dead Space 3 - Review

In a year where trilogies have been the norm rather than the exception, Dead Space 3 wasn’t necessarily greeted with open arms.  Adding co-op to the campaign and even including human enemies, many fans were immediately turned off.  Before you play the game, you may want to consider how these changes have affected the franchise.
